When Safedrive now expands to Sweden, it's with none other than Sara Haro - known to many from the Netflix series "Hyperdrive". Get to know the Swedish-American drifting star better!
Sara Haro has become a household name in the drifting community.
- "For us, it was a matter of course to bring Sara on board as our ambassador as we now expand our community along the road to Sweden. Sara has a high profile among car enthusiasts both in Sweden and in this country, and she is a great role model in the drifting community.
That's what Mathias Nervik, Marketing Director at Safedrive, says about the profile that is now entering into a partnership with Safedrive.
Over the years, Sara Haro has built up a following on Instagram in both Scandinavia and the USA, where she documents life behind the wheel - both as a truck driver and drifter.
It was through Instagram that she was contacted by the Netflix production "Hyperdrive". The series follows motorsport drivers from around the world as they compete against each other on one of the largest automobile obstacle courses ever built.
Sara wore the "underdog" label among the competitors, as her V6 Mustang faced some of the best prepared drift and race cars imaginable. Sara profiled herself well and stood out among far more accomplished competitors. The series was a huge success for Netflix, and Sara has since gone from strength to strength.

Sara was born in Tampa, Florida in 1995. When she was one year old, her parents divorced and she moved to Sweden with her mother. Growing up in Sweden proved to be challenging for Sara, who was seen as different as an American. This proved to be a valuable source of strength and motivation when she moved back to the US a few years later.
- I decided to move to the US to get to know my dad after middle school. My dad got me interested in cars and he knew I liked racing.
Her father, who saw a budding interest in motorsport in Sara, allowed her to pursue her dream of a life behind the wheel and got her a Mustang as a gift when she finished school.

- It's a 2014 Mustang with a V6 engine. I got it when I finished school, as a graduation gift. It's not the most powerful car, but it means a lot to me.
Motorsport also means a lot to Sara and has given her a place to feel at home.
- When you get out of the car after drifting, and your whole body is shaking, you think "How fun, I want to do this again!". I just love the adrenaline.

In addition to being an ambassador for Safedrive, Sara is also present at several Gatebil events as an official Gatebil driver.
- I love taking part in Gatebil! Here we meet lots of car enthusiasts and experience the speed and excitement out on the track. Gatebil has a unique standing in both Sweden and Norway, and is definitely the place to visit if you're interested in motorsport.
