- This is something I never thought I would do!

This is according to an excited Tor-Anders Ringnes, who is looking forward to competing in Germany on August 15-17.

In the competition, Tor-Anders will face 63 athletes from all over Europe. Fans decide the starting position of the athletes by voting for their favorites. Each vote costs €0.99 and you can buy as many votes as you like. The money goes to support the drivers.

- It's a new and in many ways fair way of doing it. The organizers put the fans and us athletes first, and they want to offer a completely unique experience for both us and the audience.

A small taste of what "IRON DRIFT KING" has to offer.

The athletes are not only competing for glory, honor and the title "IRON DRIFT KING", but also a prize pool of 50,000 euros. An excited Tor-Anders expects tough competition for the coveted first place.

- "In 'IRON DRIFT KING', I'll be competing against top athletes from as many as 26 nations, so I'm taking absolutely nothing for granted. First and foremost, I'm looking forward to a fun and challenging weekend on the track in Germany, and then I'll do everything I can to secure a good position.

The organizers promise a great event with a new camping area, laser and pyrotechnics and lots of action on the track! Photo: IRON DRIFT KING.

A distinctive arena

The competition is held in the spectacular surroundings of Ferropolis, also known as the "Iron City". Located on a peninsula on Lake Gremminer, north of the town of Gräfenhainichen, Ferropolis is a former coal mine that has been converted into an industrial museum and event venue. The track on which the athletes will compete is flanked by disused excavators, cranes and other industrial relics. Seating up to 25,000 people, the arena is the perfect playground for fearless drivers to run wild!
