Safedrive continues the tradition of dedicating an entire workday to the TV campaign. This Thursday, they took the usual workday off to call businesses in Namdalen – and raise money for this year's campaign for the Atlas Alliance.

Safedrive employees dedicated an entire workday to raising over 450,000 million for the Atlas Alliance.

– This has now become a tradition at Safedrive, says CEO of Safedrive, Magnus Wester.

Every year, the company sets aside an entire workday to support the TV campaign. Then, the regular workday is canceled – and the whole team spends the time calling businesses in Namdalen to raise money.

– We are very proud of that, he says.

Bringing together businesses in Namdalen

Ingrid Hildrum Aakervik, project manager at Namdal Business Association and responsible for the business community's fundraising campaign, highlights Safedrive as an important partner.

“We are very lucky to have Safedrive on board. They volunteer, give up a whole day's worth of sales and raise money for the Atlas Alliance,” she says.

“This year's TV campaign will help children in poor and war-torn countries to get education and health care,” says Stig Rønne, county coordinator for the NRK TV campaign.

The money from the TV campaign will go towards education, healthcare and emergency aid, as well as aids such as Braille textbooks, wheelchairs and prosthetics. This will give 200,000 people with disabilities and their families in Palestine, Ukraine, Ethiopia, Nepal, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia a better life.

Cheerful and motivated employees at Safedrive made a great effort for the 2025 TV campaign.

According to Safedrive sales manager, Yasin Hussein, the response from businesses in the region has been overwhelming.

– We work with traffic safety, but we would also like to contribute to other things when we get the opportunity – and now we were given the opportunity by the TV campaign to contribute this year. We are calling businesses in Namdalen, and we have received an incredibly positive response. We have already received many contributions, and the day has only just begun!

A different and meaningful working day

At Safedrive, the day is also about more than money. For Ayse Selnes, a salesperson at Safedrive, participating is both rewarding and fun.

– I think it's really nice that we get the opportunity to have a slightly alternative working day. It's also very rewarding when we're welcomed as well as we are on the phone. They probably feel that it's a good initiative on our part. So it's really nice, she says with a smile.

Stig Rønne, county coordinator for the NRK TV campaign, and Ingrid Hildrum Aakervik, project manager at Namdal Business Association, were both very satisfied with the contributions from the business community in Namdalen.

Pride and social responsibility

Magnus Wester sums up the feeling in the company:

– You become very proud and moved when all employees choose to give away a whole day's salary to call around and collect money. And we at Safedrive are also proud to give away a whole day's turnover – and we think it's worth it, because this is very important.
