Every month, one lucky winner of NOK 100,000 is drawn through Safedrive Reward. Now, the winner also has the opportunity to donate an additional NOK 100,000 to socially beneficial causes through the Tryggve Fund.
Every month, one lucky winner is drawn in the Safedrive Reward program, which rewards safe and responsible driving. Drivers who have activated access on My Page and achieve a green driving score – that is, driving safely, responsibly and keeping to the speed limit – are included in the draw.
In June, Johnny Gundersen from Melhus was selected as the winner of the month in the Safedrive Reward. He won 100,000 kroner for himself, and at the same time was given the opportunity to donate up to 100,000 kroner to socially beneficial causes through the Tryggve Foundation.
Johnny was able to choose from a list of approved applications in his local area, and chose to support Malvik Red Cross and Sveberg dance club.
– I am pleased that it will be useful, especially for children and young people. Keep up the good and important work you are doing, says Johnny Gundersen.
Sveberg dance club is using the money to start a new dance class, so that more young people can get a place.
– It's not often we get support, so this was welcome, says Tommy Sagmyr, general manager of the club.
– The fact that Safedrive gives us the opportunity to bring in young dancers who are on the waiting list is the alpha and omega.
Malvik Red Cross is organizing a fundraising gala in September to obtain gift certificates for grocery stores, which will be distributed to low-income families in Malvik before Christmas.
– We are very grateful for the gift, writes Malvik Red Cross on its Facebook page after the distribution.
– It means a lot to us, and even more to those who receive gift cards. Now that we have received an extra 75,000 kroner from Safedrive, we are given opportunities that we otherwise would not have had, says Hildegunn Pettersen, manager of Malvik Red Cross.
Hildegunn Pettersen of Malvik Red Cross and Tommy Sagmyr of Sveberg Dance Club were very happy to receive support from the Tryggve Fund and Safedrive. Here together with the mayor of Malvik, Eugen Gravningen Sørmo, and the mascot Tryggve.
– It gives a boost to these actors, who receive much-deserved appreciation, says Mayor of Malvik, Eugen Gravningen Sørmo.
– You are all helping to make Malvik safer, more generous and more inclusive. A big thank you also to Safedrive, for their work in safe traffic combined with social commitment.
Johnny himself experiences that Safedrive does more than prevent fines:
– I think it's fantastic that Safedrive contributes to the local community in this way. Many people think that you have Safedrive to avoid fines, but for me it has saved me from possible collisions with wildlife and obstacles.
Knut Ove Børseth from Safedrive and the mascot Tryggve were delighted to be able to distribute the first funds from the Tryggve fund.
Safedrive Reward is a reward program for safe driving. Drivers with a green driving score are entered into monthly draws for NOK 100,000.
The Tryggve Fund allows the winner to distribute up to NOK 100,000 to good local causes. The fund supports ideas and initiatives that create safety and belonging in the local community, such as youth activities, traffic prevention, events and volunteer work.
Do you have a project, activity or idea that creates security and unity where you live? Then you can apply for support from the Tryggve Foundation.
