For the seventh year in a row, Vikingtreffet was held on the slopes of Golsfjellet. Safedrive was present all weekend to observe and participate in fun and games with small and large vehicles.

Working to create safer traffic is not necessarily the opposite of speed and fun. Dialogue and facilitation with the target groups highly represented in accident statistics is one of the most important efforts to create safer traffic.

Vikingtreffet is an event organized by 4×4 Norway, offering legal and action-packed driving in a safe environment. This provides a fantastic opportunity to satisfy both curiosity and the pursuit of extra adrenaline. Safedrive sees Vikingtreffet as an important event and found it very natural to participate – both to show support and to gain deeper insights into a demographic we aim to get better acquainted with.

Not just speed and reckless driving

Vikingtreffet (4×4 Norway) is an event for motor enthusiasts, providing participants with the opportunity to pursue their passion with like-minded people on icy terrains and traditional mountain tracks. It's a golden opportunity to test the capacity of their own vehicles, both in terms of accessibility, speed, mobility and power - all within a safe environment.

Our representatives were impressed by the spirit of volunteerism in Gol, and the fine safety measures that were implemented: Rope services, Red Cross personell, mechanics and volunteers. Everyone in need received prompt assistance!

More of this, please!

Vikingtreffet will be one of several events Safedrive will attend in 2022. We see that track driving helps to reduce the need for challenging driving on public roads, and will support such events as long as we see the positive effects.

We are constantly on the lookout for more meetings and events that contribute to allowing enthusiasts to pursue their passion in safe environments. Do you have tips for someone we should visit? Get in touch with us by email!
