- We look forward to a good, professional discussion on a topic that is central to our work.

This is according to Magnus Wester, CEO and founder of Safedrive. During Arendalsuka, Safedrive invites you to a debate on the role of traffic alarms in traffic safety work, under the program item "Traffic alarms: A good or an evil in traffic safety work?".

- Here we take the difficult debate about ourselves, and we invite both critics and defenders," says Wester.

Psychologist Jan Ole Hesselberg and Rikard Gaarder Knudsen, head of the Norwegian Road Traffic Information Council, will give expert presentations to kick off the political debate. Trond Helleland (H) and Jone Blikra (Ap) - both members of the Transport and Communication Committee of the Norwegian Parliament - will join the debate.

How can traffic alarms and smart technology contribute to road safety? Safedrive takes the debate during Arendalsuka.

Wester is unequivocal and believes that Safedrive as a driver support system can lead to a positive driver impact.

- At Safedrive, we are clear in our stance. We believe that our services, which have evolved into a driver support system and a platform for effective communication between drivers in traffic, are an asset in road safety work. With a strong panel, we hope and believe that we will be able to shed light on both the issues and opportunities surrounding this.

- In addition, we ask the big question; can Safedrive, technology development and a large community along the road change the whole way we think about road safety and road safety measures? For example, what can we achieve by rewarding those who keep to the speed limit?

- We believe that many visitors to Arendalsuka will have good reason to attend this program item," says Wester.

The debate will take place in Hall B at Clarion Hotel Tyholmen, Thursday, August 15, 08:30 - 09:50.
