To make our alerts even more precise, Safedrive is now launching a new alert: “Other Hazard.” It is intended for use in situations that require increased attention, but do not necessarily involve a physical obstacle in the roadway.
Aurskog-Høland Red Cross got a pleasant surprise when Henning Staff chose to give them 100,000 kroner through the Tryggve Fund. The funds came as a result of him becoming the monthly winner in the Safedrive Reward.

The distribution took place at Bjørkelangen, where representatives from both the municipality and the Red Cross gathered to mark the gift.
Relief Corps Leader Marit Brauterfallet in Aurskog-Høland Red Cross says that the support will come in handy.
– We really appreciate this. We are also very concerned about traffic safety. We drive around in uniformed cars and are concerned that everyone who works with us drives carefully in traffic. We are a voluntary organization, so for us such a grant is absolutely fantastic, says Brauterfallet.
And they know very well what the money will be used for:
– We will use the money to increase our own security. Continue the good work we do with the Children's Red Cross, she adds.
The support from the Tryggve Fund will be used, among other things, to strengthen security in the aid corps and continue the work of the Children's Red Cross, say Thomas Enget and Marit Brauterfallet of the Aurskog-Høland Red Cross.
Mayor Roger Evjen (Ap) of Aurskog-Høland municipality was also present during the award ceremony.
He highlights that traffic safety is an important focus area for the municipality.
– Aurskog-Høland municipality has as one of its main goals: Zero injuries and deaths in traffic on our roads. That's why I think it's really great that Henning Staff won and that he chose to give this prize to the Aurskog-Høland Red Cross. I just want to say congratulations, the mayor smiles.
The leader of the Aurskog-Høland Red Cross, Thomas Enget, took the opportunity to highlight the importance of volunteering.
– The refrain in our lives is to volunteer in an organization. Maybe the Red Cross, maybe someone else. Norway is crying out for volunteerism, he encourages.
Henning Staff won 100,000 kroner through the Safedrive Reward and is pleased that the support will benefit the Aurskog-Høland Red Cross through the Tryggve Fund.
When the phone call from Safedrive came, Henning Staff couldn't believe what he heard.
“Isn't it April Fools' Day?” asked an excited Henning when he was told that he was the Reward winner of the month in February.
For him, it has always been natural to keep to the speed limit.
– I drive according to the speed limit. It's important to me. It always has been, he says.
Henning knows well what the winnings will be used for.
– I have a kitchen I need to do something with. Now there will be new fronts, he says with tears in his eyes.
