Help with connection
If the Safedrive device takes a long time to start, or does not start at all, please follow the steps below.
Mount the device correctly
Start by mounting the device in your car and making sure it has a clear view of the sky . This is important for the GPS signal to work optimally.
Wait a few minutes.
Give your device up to 5 minutes after booting up. It may take some time for it to connect to GPS and networks, especially when first booting up or after being idle.
Try alternative location
If the unit still has not started after 5 minutes, we recommend mounting it to the left of the steering wheel , in the air vent near the side window. This location often provides better GPS reception.
Get status information
If you have problems after following the steps above, follow this guide:
- Tap 10 times at the top of the screen
- A status window with technical information will open.
- Do not press "Test"
- Take a screenshot of the screen where you see the text FW 6.24 or FW 8.3 at the top
- Send the picture by email to [email protected] , we will help you as quickly as we can.
