Are you experiencing slow startup of your device?
We recommend that you mount the device to the left of the steering wheel, in the air vent by the side window.
To make installation easier, use our OBD adapter, which is mounted in the diagnostic port under the dashboard.
The device will then remain on at all times, even when the ignition is turned off. The device automatically goes into sleep mode during inactivity and wakes up on its own when the car starts moving during the next startup.
The OBD adapter has a digital voltmeter and battery protection. Our device uses little power and does not significantly drain the car battery.
You can safely leave it plugged in overnight. If you forget to unplug the device when going on vacation, the adapter will automatically cut off the power if the voltage drops to a low level, ensuring the car's startup.
The diagnostic port (OBD) is normally located under the dashboard, close to where the hood opens. If in doubt about the location, you can search on Google for "OBD location Ford Mondeo 2008" for example.
