The government has chosen not to submit the proposal for a ban on inspection notifications before the deadline for the spring bill to the Storting. This means that all Safedrive customers can breathe a sigh of relief and look forward to a safe and ban-free summer.
Great commitment: The Ministry of Transport and Communications has never received so many responses to a consultation before.
The proposal, which was sent out for consultation in March, generated a huge amount of engagement. The government received almost 20,000 consultation responses – many from committed Safedrive users. Our own consultation response documented the serious consequences a ban would have for road safety, freedom of expression, and Norwegian jobs.
We would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who submitted feedback. Your contributions have made a difference. We are touched by the commitment and support from our users – it has not gone unnoticed.
Safedrive continues as before, and we will continue to do what we have always done: Contribute to increased attention in traffic, safer roads and smarter notifications .
